Explanation of two distinctly different domestic and imported Rejuvenative Foods organic raw almond butters
Rejuvenative Foods is now offering two distinctly different fresh raw organic almond butters:
1. Our long-time favorite made from Californian organic raw almonds.
2. Our new, surprisingly different, organic, almond butter made from wild harvested completely unheated almonds from Uzbekistan.
Rejuvenative Foods founder Evan Richards decided to use these completely raw and wild low-temperature-processed almonds because he thoroughly enjoyed eating a lot of this fresh raw organic wild almond butter within a short period of time and experienced it as extra delicious and extra vibrant. In fact, Evan says he may have felt at least as good, if not better, from eating these almonds compared to California almonds. Evan’s experience indicates that there is no need to be concerned about the bitterness in these almonds because Evan feels great when eating a lot of this fresh raw organic wild almond butter. What we have learned from speaking with some consumers is that this wild almond’s flavor is surprising to some people. When they get an understanding of Evan's experience really loving these wild organic almonds, it may be easier to appreciate their fantastic different piquant flavor.
As a result of U.S. federal law, California raw almonds must be heated to 150° F. In order to offer you an almond butter that has not been heated at all, we also make this new wild almond butter with Wild harvested certified organic almonds.
The law says that in order to use truly raw almonds, we must use imported almonds. We are appreciative of these delicious, natural, wild almonds from Uzbekistan.
We appreciate your feedback, letting us know what you think of not only the taste of this new almond butter (sometimes described as almond-extract-flavored, or amaretto-flavored) as well as your appreciation or lack thereof regarding the idea that these almonds are potentially closer to their natural and 'raw' state.
Soon we will have two almond butter labels: our original, traditional raw almond butter label, and our new wild raw almond butter label.
